Appointments were approved in a resolution of the Council of Ministers this Thursday. The professor at the University of Porto will lead the new scientific funding agency.
The Government has chosen a professor from the University of Porto to lead AI. Teresa Pinto Correia will lead the research and Maria Moura Oliveira will be responsible for innovation.
The government announced this Thursday the five members who will dictate the fate of the new agency that brings together science and innovation. Teresa Pinto Correia and Maria Moura Oliveira will be the vice-presidents.
The Government today appointed the Board of Directors of the new Agency for Research and Innovation (AI2), which will be chaired by João Barros, professor at the University of Porto.
