Neuville Makes Most of Ogier Puncture to Win in Portugal

- Ogier had been leading by 17 seconds when a right rear puncture on the 22nd Vieira do Minho 2 stage forced him to stop, losing a minute and 25 seconds.
- Neuville finished 16.3 seconds clear of Toyota's Oliver Solberg, with championship leader Elfyn Evans third, 12.8 seconds further back.
- The win gives Hyundai its first season victory, bringing manufacturer standings to 218 against Toyota's 311. "Always on a good rhythm, nothing was really perfect, but we just got through," Neuville said.
- Championship leader Evans now holds a 12-point advantage over Japanese teammate Takamoto Katsuta heading into the next rally in Japan on 28-31 May.
