Nest Protect - new purchase lost 1 year from expiration

In a bit miffed here at Google, I brought 2 nest Protect items knowing it had an upto 10 year lifespan and that Google mentions that vendors should rotate their stock to keep that lifespan in check.So just got my order from Google and it's a year less, not as bad as I've seen reported online but equally I'm annoyed I've lost a 1/10th of the duration.Naturally complained to customer service via chat to see if a rebate for the missing year could b…
