City of Melton received 44 cleanup requests this year as invasive Hillman’s panic grass creates fire hazards by spreading dry tumbleweeds from poorly maintained paddocks.

Tumbleweeds are filling up the streets of the outer west, blocking doorways and covering front yards for metres, creating fuel for potential fires.
