The Home Ministry has issued an order exempting minorities (Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains, Parsis and Christians) coming to India till 31 December 2024 due to religious persecution from Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Pakistan from the requirement of passport and visa. This decision is a relief especially for thousands of people including Hindus coming from Pakistan.
