- Recently, the National Testing Agency relocated to the Government of India Press Building on Minto Road, where 39 Central Industrial Security Force personnel now guard "confidential areas."
- Following the NEET-UG paper leak earlier this year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi ordered reforms, leading to the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and appointment of a task force headed by Infosys co-founder Nandan Nilekani.
- At the new 55,000 square feet facility, security personnel use X-ray baggage screening and Door Frame Metal Detectors to enforce strict access controls. Officials report these measures ensure foolproof security for sensitive operations.
- The agency removed 600 experts and implemented "mission mode" upgrades, including immutable logging, encryption, and biometric authentication, to revamp internal systems. Officials are running security readiness reviews before each examination cycle.
- While the Supreme Court recently reprimanded the NTA, saying "it has not learnt its lessons," the agency is adopting protocols similar to the Union Public Service Commission . The NTA is enhancing Security Operations Centre monitoring for rapid cyber-incident response.
