Nebraska Softball Stuns No. 1 Texas Tech for Second Top-Ranked Win

On Sunday, Nebraska rallied in the fourth inning to beat top-ranked Texas Tech 3-2 at the Clearwater Invitational.
Starting the fourth inning, senior utility Hannah Camenzind doubled, junior catcher Jesse Farrell hit a two-run homer, and senior outfielder Hannah Coor added a two-out RBI single to put Nebraska ahead.
In relief, Jordy Frahm retired all nine batters she faced, struck out four, and earned her third save, sealing the upset victory.
By beating the top-ranked Texas Tech at the Shriners Children's Clearwater Invitational, the victory marked the first time Nebraska Huskers softball program has beaten two No. 1-ranked teams in the same season.
With Texas Tech dropping to 11-1, the Nebraska Huskers softball team will resume play Friday at the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic in Cathedral City, Calif.
