Nebraska farmers will see payouts from bankrupt grain merchant

The payouts will cover more than 60% of approved claims after the merchant’s bankruptcy, officials said.

The Nebraska Public Service Commission approved $1 million in payouts to 12 farmers who submitted claims for unpaid contracts with Hansen-Mueller, which filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in November.
