- Chief Justice D.K. Upadhyaya and Justice Tejas Karia constituted a monitoring committee headed by former district judge Man Mohan Sharma to ensure authorities provide promised amenities including schools and electricity.
- The court asserted that rehabilitation must be "meaningful" to safeguard residents' right to live with dignity under the Constitution, with the committee overseeing the process for an initial six months.
