Environmental engineering doctor Husam Al-Najar fled Gaza with wife and children to seek refuge in a village in the Gard. A reception made possible by the researcher at CNRS Julie Trottier, who worked to ensure that this water specialist would benefit from a national programme to assist scientists in exile.
