Dickinson State University Nursing Students Can Further Their Training Under NDSU Partnership
The partnership lets DSU nursing graduates continue into NDSU’s Family Nurse Practitioner program while staying in their home community.
- On Thursday, June 18, 2026, Dickinson State University President Scott Molander and North Dakota State University President Marshall Stewart signed a partnership agreement to expand nursing education programs across North Dakota.
- Graduates from the DSU nursing program can now pursue advanced education through the NDSU Family Nurse Practitioner program while remaining at their home institution and accessing coursework from Fargo and Bismarck.
- Students will gain hands-on clinical experience throughout southwest North Dakota, including at hospitals in Bowman and Hettinger, strengthening local healthcare capacity.
- Launching this fall, the program focuses on career advancement. "It's just so important that they can advance their careers," Molander said.
