NDP says government needs to be more transparent in trade talks with the U.S.
- Don Davies, the NDP's interim leader, has urged Prime Minister Mark Carney to fulfill the government's pledge by providing Parliament with detailed information about the ongoing U.S. Trade negotiations as of June 1, 2025, in Ottawa.
- Davies made the request following concerns the government entered preliminary renegotiations of the Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement without tabled notice as promised in February 2020.
