Break this so-called Big Beautiful Bill into two parts. Do border and military funding, tax and debt limit provisions now with phase II later in the year. This legislation should have been completed by late March. Instead, so-called congressional Republican leadership, with their numerous breaks from the early days of this session’s beginning of early January, have allowed this unnecessary delay in passage to occur.
