Gaston Fire & Rescue said that the truck driver told them the honey bees were getting antsy after sitting still in the hot tractor-trailer along I-95.

Trucker hauling honeybees calls on FD to calm the insects during flat tire change

A truck driver hauling honeybees called on firefighters to help him with the insects as he tried to change a flat tire.  The incident happened on Friday, May 16th, in Gaston, North Carolina on Interstate 95.  According to CBS 17, the tractor trailer was hauling 130 pallets of bee hives when the rig got a flat tire in Northhampton County in 80 degree weather. As the trucker went to change the tire, he realized the honeybees were becoming agitated…
