University of Rhode Island Emeritus Marine Research Scientist Robert Kenney: “We have never had wind farms in an area where there are lots of whales before,” Kenney said. “It makes me a tiny bit nervous, but we know that the effects of climate change on the ocean are much worse than what we are seeing from wind farms.
