“Had to Check if This Was Centel”: LaMelo Ball’s Newborn Son’s Name Has the NBA World in Shock
The initiative will offer education and support for women facing fertility and IVF journeys, and two recipients will receive $5,000 grants.
On Sunday, May 10, Charlotte Hornets guard LaMelo Ball and model Ana Montana announced they welcomed their first child, a son named LaOne, in January, exclusively revealing the news to People magazine.
Inspired by her personal IVF journey, Montana—whose birth name is Analicia Chaves—launched the nonprofit I Am Fertility to provide education, emotional support, and resources for women navigating similar challenges.
The HOPE Grant will award two women $5,000 each to assist with IVF and fertility treatment expenses, with applications opening on Mother's Day and closing June 1.
Sharing the news on Mother's Day, the couple told People that parenthood has given them a new perspective on 'love, purpose, legacy and what truly matters most.'
Ball, who typically keeps his personal life private, stated that welcoming LaOne has changed their hearts as they embrace this new chapter with love and gratitude focused on family.
