The 19-year-old guard averaged 15.6 points per game at Arkansas, shooting 41.6% from 3-point range; CBS Sports praised him as a "microwave scoring guard and tough shot-maker."
"The emotions tonight, all the hard work paid off," Thomas said on ESPN, emphasizing his readiness for the professional transition ahead.
Arkansas coach John Calipari wrote on social media that Thomas and fellow draftees are "on different paths but they are going to get the same results.
