NBA draft: Clippers acquire Nevada’s Kobe Sanders in 2nd round

- Sanders, a 23-year-old five-year senior from Nevada, averaged 15.8 points, 4.5 assists, and shot 46% last season while earning third-team All-Mountain West honors and impressing scouts with his passing and guard skills.
- NBA analyst Kevin O'Connor noted Sanders can "play the Ben Simmons role for the Clippers" and has "an ability to hit some shots off the dribble," despite limited athleticism.
- Clippers president Lawrence Frank said they plan "to make some tweaks" by having young players, including Sanders, spend more time with the team and less in the G League to compete for roster spots.
