Galunggong, or round scad, catch at the Navotas Fish Port Complex nearly doubled to more than 16,000 metric tons (MT) in March 2026 from just over 8,000 MT in the same period last year, the Philippine Fisheries Development Authority (PFDA) said.
The amount of galunggong landed at the Navotas Fish Port Complex doubled in March 2026. According to the Philippine Fisheries Development Authority, the catch was recorded at over 16,000 metric tons. This is compared to over 8,000 metric tons recorded in the same month last year.
