Sainsbury’s Shoppers Warned of Major Change to Nectar Rewards
Shoppers earn one Nectar point for every £1 spent, with points credited within 28 days and a minimum £1 order required.
Sainsbury has expanded its loyalty scheme, allowing Customers to earn Nectar points when ordering groceries through Uber Eats, providing Shoppers with greater value through the rapid-delivery Partners.
Shoppers must manually link their Nectar card number at checkout to receive Points, as they cannot be added retrospectively; Sainsbury advises users to verify this critical detail before completing transactions.
The rollout covers more than 1,300 Sainsbury locations, where eligible purchases allow Customers to earn one Nectar point for every £1 spent on fresh food and household items.
Uber Eats general manager Katie Hunter said bringing points to orders was a "no-brainer," while Sainsbury chief officer Mark Given noted the partnership allows members to "collect points when ordering Sainsbury's groceries through Uber Eats too."
Points are credited to accounts within 28 days; Certain items, including tobacco and baby milk, remain excluded, and Additional restrictions apply to alcohol orders in Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland.
