Russia is ready to use all available means, including nuclear ones, to protect the Kaliningrad region from isolation, the Russian embassy in Ireland announced today.
NATO has condemned Russia's "irresponsible nuclear rhetoric", contained in a text sent by Moscow to alliance officials denouncing "provocations" against the Russian enclave of Kaliningrad. "We strongly condemn the threat of resorting to (military) force, including any irresponsible nuclear rhetoric," said Alison Hart, confirming that NATO had received the document and responded to it.
Earlier, the Russian embassy in Brussels published on the X platform the content of the document, in which Russia expresses its "concern" about NATO's "provocative actions" regarding Kaliningrad.
The North Atlantic Alliance official, Allison Hart, rejected the concerns expressed by the Russian side about NATO action in the Kaliningrad region, and wrote the newspaper Figaro on Tuesday.
Russia accuses Nato of an "exemplary escalation" because of Kaliningrad and threatens with the entire arsenal. The alliance rejects the warning as "irresponsible nuclear weapons rhetoric".
