Washington. US President Donald Trump said yesterday that Russia and China “would not be afraid” of a North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) without the presence of their country, amid tensions over Greenland, an Arctic territory that aims to annex itself “for reasons of national security.”
This has been assured to Europe Press by sources of the Atlantic Alliance, who have recalled that the Arctic "is of increasing strategic importance" and that NATO has "a clear interest in maintaining security and stability in the region".
