WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) –A wreath was placed in the Cape Fear River on Thursday during a ceremony honoring the U.S. Merchant Marine as part of National Maritime Day. National Maritime Day is a federal observance that honors the maritime industry, especially merchant mariners.
