- On July 24, 2025, Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah will unveil the National Cooperative Policy 2025 at Atal Akshay Urja Bhawan, New Delhi, at 5 PM.
- Over two decades of socio-economic and technological change, the National Cooperative Policy 2025 replaces the 2002 framework, considering these shifts.
- It reviewed 648 suggestions from stakeholders and held 17 meetings and 4 regional workshops in Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Gurugram and Patna.
- Amit Shah urged states to start implementing the policy at the earliest, emphasizing swift adoption for sector growth.
- Aligned with Viksit Bharat @2047, the policy aims to transform rural India through cooperative sector growth from 2025-45.
