Cote d’Ivoire Rescinds Miss Universe Africa and Oceania Title
Olivia Yace resigned to uphold her core values and will return her Miss Universe Africa and Oceania sash, citing personal reasons, the Miss Cote d'Ivoire Committee said.
- On Monday, Olivia Yace, Miss Côte d'Ivoire 2021, announced her resignation from the title of Miss Universe Africa and Oceania and from any future affiliation with the Miss Universe Committee.
- COMICI said it withdrew Yace for personal reasons following the November 21, 2025 coronation at the Impact Arena, Bangkok, while Yace stepped down to uphold her values of respect, dignity, excellence, and equal opportunity.
- She finished fourth runner-up at last Friday's coronation in Bangkok and urged Black, African, Caribbean and Afro‑descendant communities to enter spaces where they are not expected; three other continental queens named included Julia Ann Cluett , Zhaona Zena and Stephany Abasali .
- COMICI officially informed the Miss Universe organization of the withdrawal of the Ivorian candidate and said Yace will formally return her Miss Africa and Oceania sash to attest to the joint decision.
