- With as much as 9 inches forecast, the National Weather Service issued a winter-storm warning covering Winston-Salem through Feb. 1, with four inches accumulating by 10 p.m. Saturday.
- Practice and qualifying are set for 11 a.m. ET on Monday, Feb. 2, and the 200-lap Clash airs at 6 p.m. ET on Fox, with qualifying broadcast on FS2.
- Fans and local events were immediately affected as FanFare on Fourth and Cars & Coffee were canceled, 38 cars vie for 23 spots, and NASCAR with local highway departments mobilized heavy equipment prioritizing safety, Justin Swilling said.
