NASA Shares the First Maneuvers of the X-59 Aircraft to Achieve Supersonic Commercial Flights

Summary by 20minutos
NASA continues with the aeronautical tests to transport passengers and cargo thanks to supersonic technologies. Without a doubt, the X-59 aircraft is a clear example of this because it has the necessary advances to fly at supersonic speed without generating strong sonic stampedes, bearing in mind that, since it first appeared in 2024, it has made two flights. The first one was successfully completed in October 2025, when it worked as planned by v…

NASA is continuing with the X-59 QUESST test flight program, its "silent" supersonic aircraft with which it is studying options for this type of flight to generate less ground sound impact. So it gradually expands the aircraft's flight envelope, taking it higher and faster – it has reached at least Mach 0.95 and 43,000 feet in altitude – and making maneuvers that keep it away from the leveled flight of its first air raids.
