New sightseeing train to Mt. Koya unveiled, to begin run on April 24
A Japanese railway operator on Monday revealed the exterior of its new sightseeing train, set to begin running from April 24 to Mt. Koya, a UNESCO world heritage site in Wakayama Prefecture, bedecked in dark red with gold ornamentation.
On the 16th, Nankai Electric Railway unveiled to the press the exterior of the new tourist train "GRAN Tenkuu," which will begin operation on April 24th, at a factory in Kawachinagano City, Osaka Prefecture. The train will connect Namba Station in Osaka City with Gokurakubashi Station (Koya Town, Wakayama Prefecture), the terminus of the Koya Line, in about an hour and a half.
