Nancy Mace introduces resolution to expel Cory Mills from the House
Mace says the evidence against Mills includes domestic violence and stolen valor allegations as the Florida Republican drafts his own expulsion resolution.
- On Monday, Rep. Nancy Mace introduced a resolution to expel Rep. Cory Mills from the House, stating "the swamp has protected Cory Mills for far too long and we are done letting it slide."
- Mills has "already drafted" a resolution to expel Mace in retaliation, according to NOTUS, after Mace investigated his alleged self-dealing through federal contracts and other ethical concerns.
- The House Ethics Committee has investigated Mills since August 2024 for stolen valor, conflicts of interest, and violence allegations; Mace's previous censure attempt last year was blocked and referred to the committee.
- House Speaker Mike Johnson called for the expulsion of Rep. Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick , who allegedly stole $5 million from the Federal Emergency Management Agency and violated 25 congressional rules.
- The House remains embroiled in ethics scandals following last week's resignations of Reps. Eric Swalwell and Tony Gonzales, both of whom faced sexual misconduct allegations while serving on Capitol Hill.
