- Nana Patekar was cremated with full state honours at his Donje farmhouse in Pune on Thursday night, survived by wife Neelkanthi Patekar and son Malhar Patekar.
- Malhar Patekar spoke fondly of his father's legacy, stating, 'a person like Nana Saheb never truly leaves us; his achievements have made him immortal,' and vowed to continue his father's vision.
- Calling Patekar a mentor, Shah Rukh shared how the veteran actor taught him, 'hero banne ke chakar mein actor mat khona,' expressing regret they lacked more time together.
