The prosecutor revealed that the process of selecting suppliers for the Chromebook and Chrome Device Management (CDM) laptop procurement program within the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology had in fact been selected from the start.
Tuesday, December 16, 2025 – 16:24 WIB Jacarta – Three defendants in the case of alleged corruption of the educational digitization program by purchasing Chromebook and Chrome Device Management (CDM) laptops at the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology in 2019-2022 allegedly caused financial losses to the state amounting to IDR 2.18 billion.
The Public Prosecutor revealed that Nadiem Makarim received IDR 809 billion in an alleged corruption case involving the procurement of Chromebook laptops while still serving as Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology.
Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology for the 2019-2024 period, Nadiem Makarim, will undergo his first trial in the alleged Chromebook laptop corruption case today.
