Following the 6.2 magnitude earthquake that struck Istanbul on April 23rd, some experts commented, "This was the expected major earthquake," while Prof. Dr. Naci Görür reacted strongly to this view. Pointing to the unbroken fault lines, Görür said, "Istanbul has become more dangerous; an earthquake of magnitude 7 or greater is inevitable."
