CONWAY, S.C. (WBTW) -- A Myrtle Beach man pleaded guilty and was given the maximum sentence for assaulting a Conway police officer in 2023, the 15th Circuit Solicitor's Office said Friday. Paul Charles Morphy, 60, pleaded guilty Thursday to assault on a police officer while resisting arrest and second-degree non-violent burglary before his case was set to go on trial in June.
