- The sailboat belonged to the Miami Youth Sailing Foundation at the Miami Yacht Club and was carrying two children when struck by a flat-bottomed vessel on Monday.
- According to officials, two of the six people were declared dead upon arrival at Jackson Memorial Hospital, and one of the victims has been identified as the 7-year-old granddaughter of Argentine TV producers Cris Morena and Gustavo Yankelevich.
- The U.S. Coast Guard and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission are investigating the crash, with officials holding a press conference at 4 p.m. to provide updates.
