Municipal elections are taking place in Lower Saxony

In the state of Lower Saxony, approximately 6.3 million people from the North Sea to the Harz region have the opportunity to vote in municipal elections on Sunday, September 13. In districts, cities, and communities, they are electing local government representatives, as well as mayors, mayors, and district governors. In total, more than 29,000 local government representatives are up for election, with over 68,000 candidates nominated for these positions.
