The extent of the cyber attack on the LMU in Munich is considerable. According to the latest findings, identity, contact and bank data could have been captured by students from the past 50 years.
The cyber attack on the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich hits the entire data set in the admission system. Bank data are also affected – but only for data from a certain year onwards.
According to the Ludwig-Maximilians-University, around 600 000 people are affected by the data gap – from a period of up to 50 years. Students can register for lectures again from Wednesday.
