- On Monday, NHSRCL successfully launched the first steel bridge for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train Project in Maharashtra, crossing the Nashik Highway at Dive-Anjur in Bhiwandi.
- The Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train project requires 28 steel bridges across major infrastructure corridors; to date, 16 have been completed, with structures designed for highway and expressway crossings.
- Fabricated in Trichy, Tamil Nadu, approximately 1,300 km away, the bridge weighs 1,405 tonnes and measures 14 metres in height and width, featuring protective painting and elastomeric bearings for durability.
- Assembly used 22 skid arrangements and 54,076 Tor-Shear Type High Strength Bolts on temporary trestles at approximately 17.5 metres, with the operation conducted during night traffic blocks to minimize National Highway disruptions.
- Reflecting the vision of Make in India, the project demonstrates indigenous technical and material capabilities, showcasing Indian industry's growing ability to manufacture complex infrastructure for technologically advanced rail projects.
