In the quarterly public debt bulletin for the second quarter of 2026, the Ministry of Finance maintains that the 'stock' of the public and guaranteed debt of Mozambique recorded a nominal increase in the order of $153.41 million [130.1 million euro] compared to the previous quarter.
Mozambique's public debt grew in the second quarter to 1,146 billion metrics (15.2 billion euros), more than 75% of GDP, driven by increased domestic debt and central bank financing.
