Teenage Girl 'Fell Out of Ambulance' on M6
The teenage patient fell from an ambulance on a busy motorway slip road, causing nearly two hours of road closure and major traffic delays, police said.
- On Tuesday 6th January Lancashire Police said a teenage girl reportedly fell from the back of an ambulance on the M6 southbound to M55 slip road, with emergency services called just after 5pm.
- Officers closed the slip road citing a 'road traffic collision' and advised drivers to find alternative routes after emergency services were called to junction 32.
- The slip road to Lancashire was closed for nearly two hours, and traffic reopened around 7pm, with the motorway later fully reopened, according to police.
- Following the fall, emergency crews transported the girl to hospital, where she is not thought to have suffered any serious injuries, police updates say.
