Motorists Stop When School Bus Stop Signs Are Flashing Red

VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Motorists are being reminded to slow down in school zones and stop when the school bus is flashing red lights. Under North Dakota Century Code the driver of a vehicle meeting or overtaking from either direction of a school bus stopped on highways or city streets shall stop when the school bus stop sign control arm is extended and flashing, the driver may not overtake or pass the school bus.
