Police stopped a driver for speeding in the Hlíðahverfi district of Reykjavík, driving at almost double the speed limit. His speed was measured at 87 kilometers per hour, where the maximum permitted speed is 50 kilometers per hour. The case was resolved on the spot with the payment of a fine.
