'I Had to Wipe His Tears': Missing 12-Year-Old Found Safe in Oklahoma
Ryan Davis was found safe after a multi-agency search; his parents face child abuse charges and he will not return to their care, officials said.
- On Jan. 11, 2026, the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation announced 12-year-old Ryan "RJ" Davis was found safe in Chickasha, Oklahoma, Caddo County, near Cement.
- Following interviews and evidence from a search warrant, law enforcement arrested Kimberly Kay Cole and George Franklin Cole Jr. and booked them into the Caddo County jail, OSBI said.
- Two UCN volunteers from Texas located RJ around noon on Jan. 6 and brought him to a hotel where first responders medically checked him, OSBI said he is doing well.
- OSBI said `RJ is safe, he is sound,' and it is working with the Department of Human Services; `He will be put into a safe home, which he deserves at this time moving forward, of course,' McKee said.
- Searches targeted a rural area from Cement to Chickasha, and officials credited search parties and community members along with online tips throughout the week.
