Elias Bendaouadji, head of the local branch of the Socialist Party of Forbach, decided to file a complaint, on behalf of his political family, following the discovery of racist publications on the Facebook page of a candidate and elected RN in Stiring-Wendel. The left-wing activist believes that these messages constitute "an explicit call to discrimination on the grounds of religion".
