The Russian side regrets that following today's meeting of the Moscow format of consultations on Afghanistan, it was not possible to adopt a joint statement between Kabul and Islamabad. This was stated to journalists by the special representative of the President of the Russian Federation for Afghanistan Zamir Kabulov.
Moscow Format Talks End Without Joint Statement Amid Taliban-Pakistan Dispute – KabulNow
The eighth round of Moscow Format consultations on Afghanistan ended without a joint statement on Monday because of disagreement between the Taliban and Pakistani delegations over the text, Russia’s special representative for Afghanistan said.
Participants in the Moscow format of consultations on Afghanistan were unable to adopt the final statement because of the differences between Kabul and Islamabad, as reported by the Special Representative of the President of Russia for Afghanistan, Zamir Kabulov, following the Moscow meeting.
