Ukraine may soon withdraw from the Ottawa Convention, Zelensky signed a decree to this effect. The convention prohibits the use, production, stockpiling and transfer of landmines, i.e. weapons buried or hidden in the ground, which often maim or kill victims long after conflicts have ended. In Bosnia and Herzegovina, it has been claiming its victims since the end of the war, thirty years ago, to this day.
