MORE than 70 percent of preschool children in Croatia have cavities, while the oral health of 12-year-olds has been improving in recent years, according to data from the National Preventive Program on the occasion of Oral Health Month.
Oral diseases are among the most widespread health problems in the world, and dental caries remains in first place.
Oral Health Month raises awareness of the importance of proper oral hygiene, and on Saturday, free check-ups and advice for parents and children will be organized at Zagreb's Cvjetni trg.
Croatian Oral Health Month is celebrated from September 12th to October 12th with the aim of raising awareness about the importance of prevention and maintaining dental and oral health.
