According to new statistics by Eurostat, 28.8% of Maltese citizens aged 16 or older could not afford 1 week of annual holidays away from home in 2024. The report revealed that, last year, 27.0% of the EU’s 16+ population could not afford the 1 week annual holiday abroad, with the country hit worst being Romania at 58.6%.
