The University of Okoboji Homecoming Races began in 1978 and continue to be a highlight in the Iowa Great Lakes. Herman Richter, Bob Rose, The Three Sons family, the Iowa Great Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce along with many volunteers have organized the event for over 40 years.
