Hundreds of inmates are sick from an outbreak at an Upstate New York jail, according to officials.The Broome County Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday that tests confirmed more than 300 inmates were sick with Salmonella at the Broome County Correctional Facility. Dozens reported illness Monday, including symptoms of nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and headaches, and 140 others were sick the next day.
