More than 2,000 people evacuated for WWII bomb removal at historic Okinawa villa

NAHA CITY, OKINAWA, JAPAN, JUL 6 – Over 2,300 residents and businesses were evacuated for the safe defusing of a 275-pound World War II bomb by Japan's Self-Defense Force at a historic site in Okinawa.

Japanese soldiers defused a U.S.-made bomb believed to be a World War II leftover at a historic villa in Okinawa’s capital city.
